The Devil's Cowboy
A notorious cowboy named Stuckey would lure travelers off a bridge in Meridian, MS to his inn where he would kill them and rob them. He would bury their bodies along the Chunky River. The good folks of Meridian found out about him, tracked him down, and hung him from the side of the bridge. Years later travelers would experience a shadow like figure walking along the bridge while holding a lantern. Many have said they would hear the figure asking them to rest at his inn.
